An Alias SKU can be created as a phantom part that represents a set group of items and quantities.  An Alias SKU differs from a kit in that one cannot receive or inventory by the Alias SKU.  One may order by the Alias SKU, however the result is actually ordering a set number of the items that are represented by the Alias SKU.  Two custom packing slip templates have been provided that will allow you to display both the Alias SKU and the Components if desired.

The Alias SKU feature will resolve each Alias to the components when ordering through the User Interface, File Uploads, EDI and Web Service calls.

Manage your Item Aliases from the Items Menu.  All Alias Items for all customers will be displayed on this page.
